Notes

  • Also called 'Cottonian Vocabulary'
  • Now in the British Museum
  • Discovered by John Antis (d. 1745) and verified by Lhuyd: "Mr. Antis found in the Cottonian Library of London a British Vocabulary written many years ago and wrote to me about it. When I had seen the book I knew very well that it was not a Welsh Vocabulary as it appeared by the Latin title 'Vocabularium Wallicum' written at the end of it, but a Cornish vocabulary."
