Does Cornish have phrasal verbs?

Verb + adv

Normal verb + adv, not a phrasal verb:

  • Sav yn-bann > sa 'bann > sa 'man = get up, stand up
    • sevel already means rise, so why add yn-bann? French se lever
    • sauem aman 'arise' Matthew II
  • Ke yn-mes = go out
  • Arlodh Duw a dhanvonas Ev en-rag dhort... danvon yn-rag 'send forth' (from the Garden of Eden) Genesis III
  • ev a helghyas mes an den - helghya yn-mes 'drive out' Genesis III

Verb + particle

Uncertain

Verb + adv? Or verb + particle?
